In this blog, I will talk about an area of development (discussed in the previous blog) and how I will maximise the learning outcome in this area in order to reach my career aspirations.
The area, I want to develop my skills in the most swiftly, is the editing and colour grading side of filming. I can edit and colour grade, however, so far it takes me a lot of time. I would like to be faster in it.
I have been working on my framing and creating my own style since the first time I had a camera in my hand. The framing and creating my own style is going pretty well. Nonetheless, it has only been a year since I started editing and colour grading my own footage.
I plan on editing more of my footage and using various editing softwares, to find the best software for my style. I am doing this by editing footage for University assignments and my own work. Having a hands-on experience on editing and colour grading using these softwares is for me the most effective way of learning as I put my aqquired skills into practise.
I am taking every University assignment, which involves editing any footage, very staidly.
The professional environment at the University gives me the chance to use different editing softwares installed on their Mac systems. Also, it allows me to learn how to handle pressure of deadlines and it give me the opportunity to work with other artists that have a different outlook on the end product.
